The last few months

This is my team from the wasatch back relay race (minus Kolbi). Together we ran 188 miles from logan to park city. ...It was so hard, and crazy and fun and I hated it and loved it all at the same time. I would do it again in a heart beat.

The kids with Grandma bishop and Nanie

The twins are little fish. They would swim all day if I let them. Jackson tries to find his swim suit every morning. These are the matching ones I found them on ebay....aren't they stinkin cute?

So yesterday, I was running with the twins in the jogging stroller and Haley reached over and grabbed Jacksons hand. When Jackson let go she said "NO dack dack(Jack Jack)" and she grabbed his hand again. They held hands for quite a while which was so cute cause they haven't done that forever. Too bad I didn't have my camera. Then everytime Haley would see a dog, she would do the sign for Dog on Jacksons leg instead of her own.
Today, I heard the two of them laughing hysterically. I went in their room to see what was going on and they were taking turns tickling each other. When haley does that she says "tick a tick a tick". They were laughing so hard they could hardly breath.
Even though twins is hard, it is moments like these that make it so fun and worth the hard work. I would post pictures but I am at work so I will do it when I get home this weekend. Oh yea...thanks to my wonderful husband....He surprised me at work tonight with the twins and brought me cookies. He is so sweet!

San Diego and other random things

Haley and Jackson got to touch the star fish at sea world, as long as they didn't take them out of the water......yea right. We had to restrain Jack cause he wanted to hold it the whole time.

Jackson laying on daddy's back while he films. He is the ultimate Daddy's boy.

Haley got a shiner when Jackson used her to steady himself while they went down the Deck stairs. She fell 3-4 steps.

Yea!!!!!!!!! we have a backyard. We layed sod 2 weeks ago. Thanks to all the wonderful friends who took the time to come and help us. You're the best.

Jackson and Haley playing in the coronado sand with cousin braden

Natural boogie boarders.

Jackson being goofy. He likes to make faces at me by pressing his face against the window.

Dude, it's been awhile

Just wanted to write down some things for Haley and Jackson.

Haley folded her arms and said her first prayer tonight. Didn't understand a dang thing but it was awesome! Jackson noticed the moon for the first time today and I got him to say moon...he also said birds the other day. It was crazy cause there was still daylight and he still noticed it.

This past weekend we went to the Wrights house (my cousins) and saw cousins we had never seen in like 20 years! Crazy. Anyway this post is kind of boring but I wanted to make sure and write down what Jackson and Haley did.

Peace.

Jackson loved riding the scooter with his dad

One of haley's romps in the mud.

Jackson's first 4 wheeler ride.

The kids got a bubble maker for easter and they chase the bubbles all around.

Easter morning.

My little couch potatoes

Jackson climbed into our front loading washer and couldn't get out. He was like a little hamster just running around and around in the barrel. Poor guy.

Yea spring is here. We are so happy because Jackson and Haley are definantly outdoor babies. They would stay out all day if I let them and they look for any opportunity to sneak out. Jackson worked so hard he made a hole in the screen door and can now stick his hand through and use it to open it up. They are growing up so fast. Jackson seems to have a new found energy this week and goes from one thing to the next. He wore me out!!!!! He is so excited about everything he sees and makes the cutest little noises when he's happy and excited. He loves balls and got a play golf set for easter. He loves to hit the balls and occasionally his sister. Haley gets more "girly" by the day. She loves her tutu and her purse and pretty clothes. She is so pleasant and happy all the time. She is my little helper and throws everything away and gets stuff when I need it. I am amazed at how much she understands when I tell her things. She is so busy all the time. I don't think her legs ever stop moving. She has discovered a mud hole that is created everytime it rains in our flower bed and she has jumped in more than once and one time even face planted in it.
We hopefully get to put sod in our back yard this week and we have planted a garden. That's a first for us both so we will see if either of us have a green thumb. I am continuing to train for the wasatch back relay race which is June 19th. It is a 187 mile relay race that I am doing with 12 girls we go from Logan to Park city. I am starting to question my sanity everytime I wake up at 5am to run or train on yet another long hill.....ouch.

Double trouble

So I meant to write a little bit with those pictures I posted a few days ago, but life has been crazy. We drove down to AZ because Neil's Grandma Bryce passed away 3 weeks ago. I decided it is worth every penny to fly because the twins did not enjoy the trip. While there, Jackson, Haley and then Neil developed the stomach flu. I chaufered 3 sick kids home with all of them throwing up in the back seat...YUCK! Once the illness cleared up, we noticed Jackson still wasn't feeling better. Then his stomach swelled up HUGE and was rock hard. We took him to the doctor and he had developed something called an illeus where the bowel gets paralyzed and that whole peristalsis thing doesn't happen so nothing passes very well. We had to put him on clear liquids for 3-4 days (Haley had to be on it too. to get over her illness) The poor kids thought we were starving them to death, but Jackson has finally gotten better and we didn't have to take anymore drastic measures.
Anyways, some funny kid stories, a few weeks ago, I found jackson crying and his hand was stuck to a super glue tube. I realized he had chewed through the tube and his mouth and face was coated in super glue. After a major freak out and a quick call to poison control, I learned that it isn't toxic. So he just looked goofy for a few days while it slowly wore off. Oh yea, he accidently glued his lower lip to his chin when he sucked his thumb to comfort himself so he couldn't shut his mouth.
Haley is such a girl!!!! My mom gave her a purse and she loves it. She has it on all the time and walks around with her arm straight up in the air so it won't fall off. She is "talking" a ton, she constantly jabbers and has now said her first sentence "here ya go". The other day we heard Jackson screaming and went into the laundry room, he had climbed into our front loading washer and couldn't get out, he kept trying but his efforts kept spinning it like a hamster in a cage. Haley was so excited. She finally had her chance for revenge for all the times he teased her. She kept trying to shut the door on him. Guess thats one more room off limits to them.
Jackson is Neil's little clone. He is such a tease and takes great enjoyment out of hearing his sister scream. The other day He was supposed to be napping, I heard a noise and went into check. From the confines of his crib, He had quietly opened and emptied out 2 drawers of clothes all over, when he saw me, he dropped down, started sucking his thumb and pretended to be asleep... Where do they learn these things. Anyway, I could tell stories all day, but since I don't write often that would just get long and boring so I will stop here:)

February Update!!!!!!!!!

Haley runs around in her towel after her bath and jackson tries to chase
her and pull the towel off her head

Neil went Ice fishing, and wondered weather it was still fun in one degree weather

Is that frost bite on his nose?

Haley is getting very independent and wants to feed herself
This is what she looks like when she's done feeding herself

The twins visited Great grandma Fawn

and Great grandpa Ross

Jackson loves the snow...about as much as dad does.

View from our back window

Haley and Jackson got this jungle gym for Christmas and they love it tons. They have learned to climb up and go down the slide.
Allright, this is Daddy, wanting to write to you twins again....the things I've seen you do.

Haley, WoW! You continue to progress so fast.... Haley is now trying to help around the house. I was changing Jackson's diaper and she helped me! She is very service oriented. Today when I got my coat on, she went and brought over one of my shoes! She likes to clean the floor.....today she and Jackson helped me sweep the floor. Haley plays peek-aboo and blows kisses to every boy she sees. She can also fold her arms when it's time to pray, all by herself! Haley is always smiling and happy.

Jackson, DUDE. this guy..... he continues to have love for music. When music is on he will sway back and forth to it. When I humm a certain tune, he will hum back the same thing exactly on tune.....it's crazy!! Also, the big thing dad is proud of is that he raises his arms up in the air when you say, 'Touch-down!!' Mom taught it to him. Jackson laughs a lot. He has a loud happy laugh and a big happy smile.

Another thing is both of you guys want to be involved when me or mom are cooking. So we usually give them a bowl and spoon...and they play like they are stirring something.

Thanks you guys for bringing so much joy into our lives. You are a lot of fun.

ohh yeaa, I forgot to mention. Haley at the ward party (chili cook-off), I was watching her in the nursery and she fell on a toy helecopter, hit her in the eye....anyway I was comforting her, and she threw up all over me. Thanks Haley. Love you too! :)
